The Minamikaga area of Ishikawa Prefecture, where Komatsu is located, is home to more than 100 companies collaborating with a globally famous construction machinery company, and to a cluster of machinery and electronics manufacturers boasting high market shares both in Japan and overseas, known as the "Monozukuri" (manufacturing) group of the Hokuriku region.
In our department, we strive to keep pace with the current global trend of creating systems and human resources capable of developing and maintaining a sustainable and environmentally friendly society. In our unique curriculum, building on the latest computer science and loT knowledge, we teach mechanical engineering which is the foundation for craftsmanship, and enhance it with the basic principles of informatics,electronics, and electrical engineering.
